Here is the 14th installment of Zoom Loomed yarn swatches
Below, Interlacements Yarn Irish Jig, (40% Flax, 31% Cotton, 29% Rayon, strand of metallic thread) sport weight. The Submarine color changes make a beautiful random plaid with a hint of sparkle.
Below, starting at the left is Cabled Cotton, a DK weight 100% mercerized cotton. Next is a square made from Fun Flats yarn. It is 80% Merino superwash with 20% Nylon yarn knitted on a knitting machine into a “blank” before the dying process. This gives unique color changes and texture to the square. The square on the right is Rave On yarn in Imperial Blue. A ribbon yarn that is a challenge to weave, but has a fantastic result.
Below is Baah Yarn Sonoma, a DK weight superwash merino wool, in Berry Cocktail. It turned out great! This variegated yarn is vibrant and fun, and would be good for a spring shawl or other accessories.
Prism Yarn sent us several yarns. Left: Constellation (95% nylon/5% metallic polyester), in the first layer. The remaining layers are in Tencel Tape (100% Tencel).
Middle: the first layer is Layers Stuff (rayon/cotton/nylon/kid mohair/bamboo/Tencel/wool/cashmere/silk) with Petite Madison (75% merino/15% cashmere/10% silk) for the remaining layers. These are both very textured and visually interesting yarns.
Right: Indulgence (68% silk/15% wool/12% kid mohair/5% nylon), a worsted weight yarn that has a luxurious sheen.
