Jack of All Trades Sheep Ornament
Designed and made by Nancy Ellison
My local Zumbro River Fiber Arts Guild always has an annual project. This year, we’re making ornaments for a tree to donate to the Festival of Trees fundraiser. Since I’m a member of various subgroups in the guild, I wanted to combine techniques for my sheep ornaments.
Macramé in Weaving
Macramé is an art form that uses knots to create patterns and textiles. The same knots used in macramé can be incorporated into your weaving projects. Multiple knots can embellish the fringe on a scarf or shawl. Let’s look at a few examples. You can learn how to tie these knots in my online course, Beginner Macramé, on the online Schacht School of Textile Arts.
